Blowing Out The Sunset

The weather around here has been a bit miserable lately, but today marked a wonderful change with temps in the mid 20’s and it was wonderfully crisp and sunny. As is usually the case on days like today I took a spin around town on my bike and as is also usually the case I ended up spending some time just hanging out by the river. I wasn’t the only one. There were a ton of people out walking, biking, or just sitting watching the river go by and the sun go down.

The settings for this pic are kinda crazy: F/1.8 and a shutter speed of 2,000. But, I’ve found that often times you can get some cool effects by opening everything wide open and blowing everything out.
