The Chippewa River Snake
For about 100 years or so the Chippewa River around Eau Claire was a very industrial place. When river levels get very low I like to tool along on my bike looking for the old pilings and bits of concrete and iron that give you hints at the areas past.

We don’t have many days until the cold hits, so I was quite happy for it to be warm and sunny today and for me to have a spare half-hour or so where I could just sit and soak up some afternoon sun. It felt wonderful.
