It was an absolutely beautiful day today and rather warm for February in Wisconsin. I feel lucky that I got to spend some time outside and get some sun on my face.

They Really Were That Stupid
If you scroll back a bit though my posts you’ll find one wondering if the Jan 6th riot was a coup attempt or a temper tantrum. At the time I came to the conclusion that it was a temper tantrum as no one could be as stupid to try a coup or do so badlyContinue reading “They Really Were That Stupid”
Finally Got Some Ice On The River
Up until the Polar Vortex hit us we’d had a freakishly warm winter and no river ice, which is a two-fold bummer for me as the coming of river ice generally means wintering Bald Eagles are easier to see as they gather at places where there are openings in the river ice and because IContinue reading “Finally Got Some Ice On The River”

The Acoustic Cafe
The The Acoustic Cafe is one of just about everyone around here’s favorite places. The Acoustic serves up wonderful sandwiches, soups, and baked goods- their cinnamon rolls are The Bomb. Back in The Before Times they also had a concert or two a week. I always get a little nostalgia buzz when I show upContinue reading “The Acoustic Cafe”
Recreate Responsibly
Hi all, there’s not much to report on the blog front. Posting should start to pickup next week as we get though the last bit of awful weather and the tail end of Brown Season. In the meantime, I found an info graphic on The Rails To Trail Conservancy’s Twitter account that I thought I’dContinue reading “Recreate Responsibly”
