Got an idea for a new photo and decided to do a couple test shots before actually trying the real shot out. And I thought this test pic of a paraffin oil lantern in my apartment turned out good enough to share. Hope you like it.

Driftless
Have I mentioned I live in farm country? Eau Claire’s at the northern end of the Driftless area, which is mostly small small towns and small (by modern Midwestern standards) farms. And lots of rolling hills. This was taken about 10 miles south of town.
Candle
This was just me playing around trying to see how slow of a shutter speed I could use and still get a sharp image. But, I thought it turned out kinda cool and worth sharing,
UWEC Dorm
I’m, generally, not one for tweaking with photos much. But, I do like this quite heavily edited shot of one of the dorms on the University Of Wisconsin at Eau Claire’s campus and the Chippewa River.

Playing With Dots
This is always a fun little trick to play around with.
Ooo… I Like This One

So, I grabbed my camera and tripod and went out to kill a couple hours taking night shots. Tonight wasContinue reading “Ooo… I Like This One”
Stillness On The Chippewa
Heading down to the Chippewa River and watching daylight fade to dusk was a much needed respite from the last couple days of craziness and anxiety. Cycling home with the last little bit of dusk dying around me I wondered if plugging back into the world was really worth the bother.
Eau Claire River/ Uniroyal Tire
I managed to wander off without my camera this morning, so all a have for you today is a quick cellphone snap of the Eau Claire River. It was an absolutely stunning day today and with temps in the 40’s the bike riding was great. The building in the distance with the smoke stack wasContinue reading “Eau Claire River/ Uniroyal Tire”
